The Surprise Pub, Chelsea

Driven by the brief to create an authentically traditional pub, steering away from more modern interpretations, the interior design of The Surprise draws on a warm and aged palette. The terracotta walls act as a backdrop to aged leather banquettes, reclaimed furniture and up-cycled materials, giving a nostalgic feel. The first floor restaurant continues this narrative with a collection of artworks drawing on the pub’s naval roots.
